Quark mass renormalization with non-exceptional momenta

چکیده
Renormalization conditions imposed on quark bilinear vertex functions in the conventional RI/MOM scheme use exceptional momentum configurations. With practical values for the lattice cutoff, these vertex functions are contaminated with unwanted low energy physics (pion pole, zero modes, etc), which is a large source of systematic error. These effects can be reduced by using non-exceptional momenta. We discuss the quark mass renormalization with non-exceptional momenta using 2+1 flavor domain wall fermions based on a recently proposed RI/SMOM scheme.

Renormalization of quark bilinear operators in a MOM-scheme with a non-exceptional subtraction point
We extend the Rome-Southampton RI/MOM renormalization scheme for bilinear operators to one with a non-exceptional, symmetric subtraction point. Two-point Green’s function with the insertion of quark bilinear operators are computed with scalar, pseudo-scalar, vector, axial-vector and tensor operators at one-loop order in perturbative QCD. Conversion factors are derived, which connect this RI/SMO...
متن کاملContinuous external momenta in non-perturbative lattice simulations: a computation of renormalization factors
We discuss the usage of continuous external momenta for computing renormalization factors as needed to renormalize operator matrix elements. These kind of external momenta are encoded in special boundary conditions for the fermion fields. The method allows to compute certain renormalization factors on the lattice that would have been very difficult, if not impossible, to compute with standard m...
متن کاملWilson fermions with chirally twisted mass ∗
Lattice formulations of QCD with Wilson fermions and a chirally twisted quark mass matrix provide an attractive framework for non-perturbative numerical studies. Owing to reparameterization invariance, the limiting continuum theory is just QCD. No spurious quark zero modes, which are responsible for the problem with exceptional configurations, can occur at finite values of the quark mass. Moreo...
متن کاملFlow equations for quark-gluon interactions in light-front QCD
The flow-equation method of continuous unitary transformations is used to eliminate the minimal quark-gluon interaction in the light-front quantized QCD Hamiltonian. The coupled differential equations in the two lowest Fock sectors correspond to the renormalization of the light-front gluon mass and the generation of an effective quark-antiquark (as well as gluon-gluon) interaction. The original...
